Morning prayer is the best way to start your day. Before you get involved in the rushing to and from, you should give the Lord a few minutes. Prayer changes things, and it can change you too.
You can see things transformed when you incorporate prayers for the day into your routine. Welcoming God into your life, and putting Him in the driver's seat, can make all the difference.
God has a plan for you; you need to be open and listen to what He says. In Psalm 63:1, David wrote, "early will I seek thee." Here are some powerful morning prayers to start your day and increase your gratitude.
Wonderful Savior, I want to thank You for the power and love I see working each day in my life. I have a roof over my head, food on my table, and shoes on my feet, and I know that many people don't have these things. Thank You for Your sacrifices at Calvary to give me life and liberty.
Forgive me for the times when I haven't been grateful or have forgotten how truly blessed I am. I need You today and every day of my life. You're worthy of my love and devotion, and please don't ever let me forget just how low I was when You found me. Amen.
Jesus, I meet many people daily, but I ask that You put the right folks in my path so that I might be a witness. Let me tell someone about how You've been my rock and fortress during these times of great struggle. People are hurting badly. I give myself to You to be a vessel to use. I want to show others how You will be a shield and a strong tower of refuge in their storms.
No matter what I face today, allow my light to shine bright for all to see. Please help me to embrace the difficulties and rise above them. If I fail You or make mistakes, remind me that I am human and not perfect.
I love the few moments I spend with You in prayer for the day, and I know this time is precious to You too. So keep me close by Your side, in Your mighty name, Amen.
Today, Lord, I come boldly to Your throne, asking You for help and guidance. I am nothing without You, and I need You to take the wheel and direct my life. Please help me not to fall into temptation today and help me to grow and be more like You.
I desire to walk close to You and see the fruit of the Spirit developing in my life. I want to keep Your word in my heart and show Your love to everyone I meet. Please show me the beauty of Your Holiness and the ugliness of sin. Direct my life so that I can be a pleasing servant to You. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I know there are many powerful daily prayers that I can say to You, but I don't have eloquent words. I want to speak to You from my heart. I'm thankful for all the blessings You've given me, but I am also exhausted and weary in my Spirit. I need a fresh touch from You this day to keep going, as I know that I won't make it without You.
Lord, I pray that You lead, guide, and always walk beside me. I long for the day when I can see Your face and worship in Your presence evermore. I love You, Amen.
Lord, I need Your direction in my life. I'm thankful for all that You've given to me, but I feel like I'm not on the best path. My heart is heavy, and I long for a deeper understanding of Your Spirit, word, and kingdom. Fear surrounds me and, at times, is overwhelming, but in Thee do I put my trust.
Please direct my steps today and always. Teach me to make You the center of my life so that I may have joy and peace amid life's storms. Allow me to see through spiritual eyes what my natural eyes could never see. I will not fail to give You the praise, glory, and honor You're due, amen.
Heavenly Father, I want to thank You for my job. I know many people struggle to find employment, so I am appreciative. Help me to do my job well and to use it as an outlet to let Your love shine through me.
I ask that You give me strength and help me accomplish all I need. Let me know You're there, even if it's just in a small, still voice. Amen.
I worship You for all the amazing things You have done for me. I call You loyal, as You've shown me that You're faithful when I am not. Your goodness runs after me, even when I am unlovable.
I am so thankful that Your forgiveness encompasses my sins. Your presence feels like heaven and changes me in ways I never knew possible. I want to live every moment of each day walking in Your favor. Father, remind me You're with me when times of trouble come, for in Thee I do put my trust. Amen.
When I put myself – my worries, my troubles, my identity, my this and my that – at the forefront of my mind, I was met with more confusion, more frustration, more torment. I was in my own mind’s maze, encaged and lost. Instead, when I set my mind on Jesus – the Way, the Truth and the Life – I was met with “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding.”
